A Toe in the Water for the First-Time Author

My tinier-than-boutique publisher, Harrison Thurman Books, has submitted applications for me to appear at two important Northwest publishing events–the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association fall trade show in Tacoma, and Wordstock 2012 in Portland. If I am selected to appear at either or both of these events (both on the same weekend in October), they will be my first confirmed appearances as an author. PNBA is for bookstore employees and librarians and is not open to the general public; Wordstock is open to all, and is particularly focused on reader interaction with authors. So cross your fingers that I’ll be selected…

Every day brings something new and exciting to this soon-to-be-semi-famous author. You can trust, however, that I’m still hard at work at the next books in the Dickens Junction series, along with bringing new visual content to the website that should enhance your reader experience when The Christmas Carol Murders is published on September 25, 2012. As soon as you can pre-order through the usual places, I’ll let you know.
